Digital Printer Operator (Production)

Position: Digital Printer operator (Production)

Position Summary

Operator for the following equipment

  • New 1650 Colorado printer operator
  • HP 360 Latex Printers operator
  • Canon Pro 6100 Photo printer operator
  • Seal Laminator

This position will also entail the following

  • Graphics trimming
  • Vinyl installation
  • Weeding
  • Pre masking
  • Packaging
  • Preparing kits or various decals for installation or shipping
  • Organizing production area and stock
  • Hands on manufacturing of various signage

Opportunity

Training on

  • I-cut Machine (Zund)
  • Production management
  • Colorado printer training

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience in a production environment

  • Onyx ripping software knowledge
  • Experience in a related industry
  • Understanding of graphics.
  • Computer skills that include ability to process work orders
  • Knowledgeable with industry terminology.
  • Willing to work overtime when needed

In addition, the Production position must excel in the following interpersonal skills:

  • Team player with the ability to work with different levels and positions within the organization from the President to the shop floor.
  • Assertiveness demonstrating confidence when communicating with business owners.
  • Excellent communicator who is well spoken and demonstrates effective listening, probing and questioning skills.

Sales Representative

Position: Sales Representative
Company: MDG Group Inc.
Location: Mississauga, Ontario

Hours of Work: Full Time

Position Summary

The Sales Representative position reports directly to the Owner of MDG (Multi Design Graphics) and works closely with the Project Coordinator to ensure customer needs are fulfilled. The Sales Representative is responsible for obtaining sales growth in large format printing, and in retail portfolios through cold calling, networking, referrals, presentations and research. The territory the Sales Representative is responsible for includes all of Ontario focusing initially on the GTA to Barrie to Niagara.

Responsibilities

The Sales Representative has four main responsibilities:

  1. Sales – inside and outside sales
    • Help grow the company by generating sales with new clients obtained through cold calling, networking, referrals, presentations and research.
    • Generate additional sales with past and current clients by scheduling regular calls and visits to present product lines and/or cross promote product lines, for example from vehicle wraps to wall and floor signage.
    • Follow up with potential clients within 48 hours of initial contact.
    • Discuss quotes and layouts to secure the sale.
    • Demonstrate product knowledge and take responsibility to stay current on industry trends by attending meetings at organizations such as The Ontario Sign Association and other related groups.
    • Understand the competition and the market.
  1. After Sales Support
    • Conduct follow up calls and/or visits to ensure customer is happy with the quality of work.
    • Ask for referrals and references.
  1. Customer Service
    • Conduct self in a professional manner whether in a face to face situation, on the telephone or email.
    • Ask questions and listen effectively to understand customer needs and concerns.
    • Resolve customer complaints to the customer’s satisfaction in a timely and professional manner.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with all customers.
    • Keep customer informed of new products and services.
  1. Administration
    • Provide detailed information to the Project Coordinator in regards to the client’s requirements.
    • Assist in preparing quotes or layouts by providing accurate and detailed information.
    • Keep Project Coordinator informed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years demonstrated sales and customer service skills in the large format printing and retail signage industry.
  • Must have clients to bring to the table from initial start
  • Experience in a related industry an asset.
  • Understanding of graphics.
  • Computer skills that include ability to process work orders update customer data bases and research the internet.
  • Connections to marketing companies and other potential clients.
  • Knowledgeable with industry terminology.
  • Minimum Grade 12 education – College diploma an asset.

In addition, the Production position must excel in the following interpersonal skills:

  • Team player with the ability to work with all levels and positions within the organization from the President to the shop floor.
  • Assertiveness demonstrating confidence when communicating with business owners.
  • Relationship builder working towards win win outcomes.
  • Excellent communicator who is well spoken and demonstrates effective listening, probing and questioning skills.
