Applications Supported

Preferred: MAC Platform Adobe Illustrator CS 5.5 ( please have all text vector art prepared in illlustrator with any raster images placed not embedded in file as an EPS file ) Alternative: Photoshop CS 5.5, InDesign CS 5.5. QuarkXpress 8

Layout Creation

• Please provide a hardcopy colour proof of digital art.
• When providing digital source files for layouts only provide images link
• When layouts are design for Diecutting, please provide Dieline and scoreline in separate layers in Illustrator at 100%.
• If art size is larger than program enables, decrease file 50% or 25% of intended size and indicate the final output dimensions.
• If layout is created in Photoshop provide files as layered PSD
• Do not embed images in Illustrator or Indesign.
• Ensure that placed images are properly linked with accurate file names.
• Provide 1" bleed around all layouts for trimming and mounting purposes.
• Additional charges may be incurred if changes must be applied due to file inaccuracy based on guidelines or if changes to layout are requested.

Source Image

Recommended: Provide images no less than 100 dpi at 100% or best 300 dpi at 100% intended print size for optimal images quality and colour depth.

Colour Matching

• If colour matching is necessary please provide specific pantone colour requirements a pictro proof, an iris or a calibrated proof.
• Desktop inkjet laserjet colour or b/w prints are not acceptable for colour matching.
• Additional charges are incurred for colour matching.

Fonts

• Include all fonts used in digital layout.
• Do not used true type fonts.
• Do not use Keyboard commands on fonts styles.
• Use actual type face in font suitcase.
• Outline fonts in layout if fonts are not available to be sent.

File Transfer

• 10 MB may be transferred via email to your respective consultant.
• If files are larger you may transferred files via FTP, provide files names ( request information from your respective consultant )
• Please stuff or winzip all files to be digitally transferred over the internet.
• If you have uploaded files to your FTP or other, please provide consultant with log in information to site.

Media Support

• We support the following media: CD-R, CD-RW, DVD -R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW, and USB firewire drives

FETCH BROWSER ACCESS

• Open a FETCH browser and enter the following address: ftp.multidesigngraphics.com
• In the security box enter your login credentials. (Listed below)
  • Hostname: ftp.multidesigngraphics.com
  • User name: anonymous
  • Password: multidesigngraphics.com
  • initial folder: /incoming

You will find buttons (navigation bar) at the top and bottom of the page. You can now upload or download.

WEB BROWSER ACCESS

• Open a web browser and enter the following address: ftp.multidesigngraphics.com
• In the security box enter your login credentials. (Listed below)

  • Path: incoming
• A window will appear select: incoming folder
